The focus of Neil's work is on well-being - promoting better quality of life in families, communities, the workplace and society as a whole. Following a successful career in social work in which he has established himself as a leading thinker, Neil continues to play a major role in shaping social work theory and practice while also making a significant contribution to our understanding of human relations issues in the workplace: equality and diversity, stress, conflict management, loss, grief and trauma and related matters. He has a wealth of experience in helping people deal with their problems across the 'people professions' - that is, the helping professions plus leadership, management and human resources. He is the managing director of Avenue Consulting Ltd and its publishing wing, Avenue Media Solutions.
